林地 Woodland
林地是以樹木為主要植被的生境。因為昔日過度砍伐樹木，香港的原始森林已經消失，現時剩餘的林地就次生林。現時香港較為成熟的次生林在港島、大帽山區域、大埔、粉嶺一帶的郊野公園見得到。次生林越成熟，通常物種多樣性就越高。可是，每年頻密的山火，令很多主要為灌木叢的山頭不能演替成為林地。

Secondary forests are what remain nowHong Kong's mature secondary forests can mainly be found in country parks in Hong Kong Island, Tai Mo Shan, Tai Po and Fanling areas, etc. The more mature is a secondary forests, the higher is the species diversity within. However, frequent hill fire is a great barrier to local woodland recovery from shrubland.
