Open country
Open country can be defined as wide and open flatlands with herbs, climbers, shrubs as the main kinds of vegetation. These are the typical rural setting of local villages. Specifically, agricultural land is a suitable habitat to provide food and shelter for different birds, insects, amphibians and reptiles. Species like Yellow-breasted Bunting(Emberiza aureola) can also be found in this habitat. Unfortunately this kind of open habitats are wrongly considered as having lower conservation value than forests. They are one of the most vulnerable habitats to urban expansion by new town and small houses development.
