Wong Chuk Yeung is located in the eastern Sai Kung. It is an enclave surrounded by Ma On Shan Country Park. The major habitats are Feng Shui woodland (around 600 m²) and freshwater wetland. Green Power, an environmental group, claimed that over 70 percent of the land has been acquired by developers and development of New Territories Small Houses is an underlying threat to its natural environment. In 2012, a piece of mature secondary forest was illegally chopped down for development. Even government land was involved in this case.
