Tung Ping Chau is a small island in Mirs Bay, northeastern waters of Hong Kong. It belongs to Plover Cove (Extension) Country Park. It is renowned for its extraordinary rock forms and a hotspot for geological survey and is part of the Hong Kong Global Geopark. The waters (270 hectares) around Tung Ping Chau have been designated as the fourth Marine Park and the major marine habitats are rocky shore, algal beds and coral communities.
