Sha Lo Wan is located in northern Lantau Island, on the south of Chap Lap Kok Airport. There are a variety of habitats such as freshwater stream, abandoned farmland, estuaries, mudlfat and sandbar. In Sha Lo Wan, you can find high species richness of butterflies and an old Camphor Tree (Cinnamomum camphora) of 18m high, being listed in Register of Old and Valuable Trees by the government, and its estimated age is over 100 years.
