Nam Chung Country Trail starts from Nam Chung and ends at Tan Chuk Hang. It passes through Kwai Tau Leng and Ping Fung Shan, and has a total length of 5.5 kilometres.

At the first section of the trail, hikers can see the scenery of the villages and farmlands of Nam Chung and Luk Keng, as well as the egretries at Sha Tau Kok. Further ahead is the famous Ping Nam Stream. It is one of Hong Kong's Nine Grestest Streams, and is so-named because it flows from Ping Fung Shan to Nam Chung. The stream has many characteristic Giant's Kettles. It also has several waterfalls. It is also a good place to study freshwater stream ecology. After the stream the trail slowly goes uphill and twists itself pass Kwai Tau Leng and Ping Fung Shan. One can see dense secondary forests and the view of Pat Sin Leng. The trail ends near San Uk Tsai Village, where there are paddy fields, lotus ponds, fruit trees and ditches, providing different habitats.
