甲龍古道由荃錦坳延伸至雷公田，經過大帽山山腰。古道本來為來往八鄉石崗及荃灣市集的農民所用，故部分為村民所建，部分為政府後來建造。
甲龍古道沿途盡是樹林，大部分都是植林，浴途有不少溪澗。
Kap Lung Ancient Trail extends from Tsuen Kam Au to Lui Kung Tin. It was originally built for farmers who travelled between Shek Kong and Tseun Wan Market. Hence, part of the trail was built by villagers while part was built by the government afterwards.
The Ancient Trail lies within a piece of woodland, in which most are plantations. There are numerous streams along the trail.
