鶴藪位於新界北區,為鶴藪水塘所在地,水塘用以供水灌溉附近農田。水塘附近有鶴藪郊遊徑及鶴藪水塘家樂徑,亦有燒烤場、營地。
鶴藪樹木繁多,郊遊徑入口是人工植林區,水塘旁則是次生林,還有原居民留下的風水林。此外,鶴藪新屋仔村一處更有一大片濕地,長滿薑花,亦有不少溪流和水潭。不同的生境孕育了不同的生物。
鶴藪的蝴蝶有約70種,蜻蜓則有約50種。溪流和水潭中則有不同淡水魚品種,當中有面臨絕種威脅的香港鬥魚。
Hok Tau is in Northern New Territories,and it is where Hok Tau Reservoir is located. The reservoir is partly used to aid irrigation in neighbouring farmlands. Around the reservoir are Hok Tau Country Trail and Hok Tau Reservoir Family Walk. There are also barbecue areas and camping sites.
Hok Tau is known for its abundance of trees. The entrance of the country trail is in a piece of plantation, while next to the reservoir are secondary forests and pine trees, as well as fengshui forests left by the locals. Other than these, there is a piece of freshwater wetland full of Ginger Lilies pass San Uk Tsai Village. There are also several streams and ponds. These habitats provide shelter for different organisms.
There are around 70 species of butterflies and around 50 species dragonflies in Hok Tau. Freshwater fishes, including the threatened Hong Kong Paradise Fish, are found in the streams.
